Adnan Sami, Anu­pama,  Anu­radha Sri­ram, Aslam musthafa, Bar­gavi Pil­lai, Benny, Blaze, Bom­bay Jayashri, Car­o­lene, Chin­mayi, Clin­ton, Devan, Febi­Mani, Gomath­ishri, Har­i­ha­ran, Harini, Kalyani Menon, Karthik, Kay Kay,Madhushree, Maha­lak­shmi Iyer, Min­mini , MGSreeku­mar, Naresh Iyer, Nithyashri, Sad­hana Sargam, Sayanora, Shahul Hameed, Shankar Mahade­van, Shobha Shankar, Srini­vas, Sunitha sarathy, Thanvi, Udit Narayan,UnniKrishnan, Vasund­hara Das etc., [ Ssss… aaabaaa :) ].

Hope you might have found the com­mon­al­ity among the above singers [ not the age :) ]. yes. All of them were intro­duced by ARR to Tamil Film music indus­try. Of course, the above list is not a com­plete one and it doesn’t include the tech­ni­cians. One such singer is Naresh Iyer [ let us call Naresh ! ].

Naresh hails from the Palakkad area and good in singing. [ This is a topic of dis­cus­sion as men­tioned in the Out­liers book by Mal­colm. Why a singer can’t from Thirunelveli or Thoothukudi dis­tricts ?! ] Few years back, V Chan­nel con­ducted tal­ent search in singing.  Fetch your­self some ice water to know the num­ber of par­tic­i­pants.. approx 25000 ! Yep !! ARR/Adnan Sami were the judges and if you think Naresh has won the com­pe­ti­tion, pls hold on !

Naresh got the bad news that he was elim­i­nated in the last round by ARR. How­ever, ARR promised him an offer to sing in films, on the same stage. Naresh took that as a con­sol­ing mes­sage. In the movie ‘Cars’, Mcqueen says that rac­ing is not about win­ning but rac­ing itself. Same applied to Naresh’s career.

Naresh got a call very soon from ARR’s man­ager to sing “May­i­la­rage” in’Anbe Aruyire’. Pause here.. He sang his first ever song along with Mad­hushree in ARR’s music ! Then he sang in Rang De Bas­anti which moved him to new heights.[ “Loose control” ! ].

1. Kad­hal kon­jam  [ PachaiK­ili Muthucharam ]

 Best of his solo num­bers with a styl­ish west­ern touch in the song and husky ren­der­ing the mid­dle of the song [ Theigin­dra nilavOdu ]. Couldn’t resist think­ing about the visual of the song because of  the beauty.. Andrea Jere­miah :) Have you lis­tened to her ‘Maalai Neram’ num­ber in 1000-il oruvan ?

2.  MunD­hi­nam paarthene
 
 One more nice num­ber from Haris Jayaraj’s music in Varanam 1000.
 
3. Oru vetkam varudhe [ Pasanga ]

 The recent duet song which I enjoyed lis­ten­ing and watch­ing much. The top class young singers are on their tal­ent singing eas­ily this song.
 
4. Munbe vaa anbe vaa. [ Sil­len­dru oru Kadhal ]

 The rea­son I kept this at last is just because Shreya Ghoshal eas­ily over­takes Naresh Iyer and keeps us to hear her ver­sion of the song mostly. Naresh too has done a neat job in this most com­plex song [ It took me longer time to under­stand what the Cho­rus girls were singing :) ].
